this article on ThePost.ie Great Western Mining chairman Emmet O’Connell believes the company could be ready to begin test drilling on its Nevada uranium find in October. A drilling programme to determine the quality and extent of the find could be done for around $500,000 and would not require the company to seek extra funding. GWM has discovered uranium in a remote location in the Sierra Nevada mountains, at an altitude of 7,000 feet. The company purchased the prospect in the hope of finding gold or silver, given that the first gold mine was located in the area back in 1872. O’Connell said the next step was to conduct a competent persons report, including mapping and further surveying, before test drilling would begin.
